Gala Night Success
Around 190 people turned out to celebrate the Stars of Attwood Green, those people who have been instrumental in transforming the estates over the last 10 years.
The Stars were voted for by those people living and working in the area. They were presented their awards by Birmingham’s Lord Mayor, Michael Wilkes in a ceremony held on Wednesday 2nd December.

- Julia Wagstaff, St Luke’s
- AJ Webb, Optima
- Carol Woolley, resident
- Sue Yates, Optima
- Joint winners Julie Monaghan and Pam Edwards, Optima
Two special awards were given to Dennis Bayley of Sheldons who have delivered the area’s cleaning and grounds maintenance since the outset and Alan Murie, Optima’s Chair for the last 10 years.
The event was also an opportunity to see the exhibition of photos from the Faces of Attwood Green project that took place during the autumn and for the winners of the summer’s garden competition to collect their awards
