Calling all eco warriors

2010 is going to be a ‘Green’ year for Optima and the start of lots of exciting Environmental initiatives.

Our Board, senior management and staff are committed to a major campaign in 2010, which will then lead into a five year strategy.

We would really like your ideas on how we can make the Optima area more environmentally sustainable; our offices, households and every aspect of our work and we’re looking for volunteers to help us!

Our aim is to create a jointly agreed strategy with local residents, which we hope will make a real impact to Optima’s carbon footprint and hopefully set the scene for an environmentally friendly future for the area.

You don’t need to be an expert, we just want your views and input. We’re setting up a group to meet monthly to start with and we’ll be arranging some visits to look at other green projects like Summerfield Eco-neighbourhood and the Northfield Eco-Centre which are both in Birmingham.

 We’ll also be organising some events over the year that we’d like your ideas on.
