ISO14001 & Carbon Footprint

ISO 14001 (environmental management)

We want to prove our environmental credentials and be externally assessed for our work on environmental management; we are doing so through international standard ISO14001. This is an internationally recognised, externally verified standard, which very few Housing Associations have achieved.

We are pleased to announce that we achieved certification in October 2011! The work doesn't stop there though, it is a 3 year process and we need to demonstrate that we are continuing to improve and monitor our environmental impact; the certificate is valid until October 2014 based on this process of continual improvement.

  • 12 x hot air balloons or
  • 1,222,000 party balloons or
  • 72 double decker buses full!

Recycling More (plastic & glass)
From 1.6kg a week to 3.5kg a week. That’s an increase of 54%.
